A purpose of a movie is to entertain and make money. It is also targeted towards younger children. The vibrant colors are playful and attractive. The songs are fun to listen to. I think the movie is more geared toward younger girls because I think Ariel is a role model because most girls want to be a princess but watching this is teaching the wrong thing. I does teach girls to not get stopped by a block in the road but Ariel also disobeys her parents doing that. She gives up her family, father's rule, and her voice in order to get legs to be with a guy. Is this really what we want young kids to be thinking?
